Terms of service

Last updated: October 21, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to backofficerecovery.com and to any consulting services you buy from Back Office Recovery ("we," "us," "our"), including the Back Office Diagnostic and any retainer. By using this website or buying our services, you agree to these Terms. If you are buying on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company.

1. Our services

We help towing, recovery and salvage companies improve their back-office systems, including dispatch, billing, impound and storage tracking, invoicing, phones, and reporting. The Back Office Diagnostic is a flat-fee engagement. It includes a kickoff call, a review of your current systems and workflows, a written recommendations report, and a walkthrough of the report. Retainers (Build & Fix, Keep It Running, Systems Partner) are ongoing services. Each retainer is quoted separately and covered by a written proposal or agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement controls.

2. Your responsibilities

To do the work, we depend on timely access to the people, information, software accounts and records it requires. You agree to provide that access and to make sure the information you give us is accurate. You're responsible for keeping your own data backed up, for decisions your company makes based on our recommendations, and for following the laws, regulations and contracts that apply to your business. These include towing, impound, consumer-protection and payment-card rules.

3. Payment

The Diagnostic is paid in full at checkout through our online store. Retainer fees are billed as stated in your proposal or agreement. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

4. Third-party software and vendors

We are an independent consultant. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a reseller for any software, phone, or payment vendor unless we tell you so in writing. Your use of third-party products is governed by those vendors' own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, pricing, data handling, or performance.

5. Confidentiality

Information you share with us about your business is confidential. This includes customer, financial, pricing, employee, and system information. We use it only to provide our services, and we don't disclose it to anyone except as needed to do the work or as required by law. We don't name clients, or use client details in marketing, without written permission. This obligation continues after our work together ends.

6. Ownership of work product

Once you've paid in full, you own the reports, documentation and deliverables we create specifically for you, and you can use them freely in your business. We keep ownership of our general methods, checklists, templates, tools and know-how, including anything that existed before our engagement or that isn't specific to your business. We may keep using those for other clients, without your confidential information.

7. No guarantee of results

We work to give you accurate, practical recommendations. However, results depend on many factors outside our control, including how recommendations are put into practice, staff adoption, vendors, and market conditions. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, such as revenue, cash flow, cost savings, or time savings. Except as stated in these Terms or a signed agreement, our services and this website are provided "as is." We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, and business interruption. Our total liability for any claim relating to our services or this website is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific service the claim relates to, during the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims that arise from your misuse of our services or deliverables, from your violation of law, or from inaccurate information you provided to us.

10. Use of this website

You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purpose. You also agree not to interfere with its security or operation, and not to submit false or misleading information through its forms. Website content is provided for general information only and is not legal, tax, or accounting advice. We may correct errors or update content, pricing, and service descriptions at any time. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only, and we are not responsible for their content.

11. Ending services

Either party may end a retainer as described in the applicable agreement or in our Refund Policy. We may decline or stop work if fees go unpaid, or if a request would require us to act unlawfully or unethically. Sections 5 through 9 and Section 12 continue after services end.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. We'll try to resolve any dispute informally first. If that doesn't work, any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and both parties consent to that venue.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Changes don't affect a Diagnostic or retainer you've already purchased unless you agree in writing.
